American Airlines Announces New Nonstop Service from JAX to Phoenix
Direct Flights to Sky Harbor International Airport Begin in November
Travelers in Jacksonville will soon have a new nonstop option for travel to the desert Southwest. American Airlines announced today that it will begin offering daily nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on November 2, 2023.
The new service will operate on a CRJ-900 aircraft, with 76 seats in two classes of service, First Class and Economy. Flights will depart JAX at 10:05 a.m. and arrive in PHX at 12:05 p.m. Return flights will depart PHX at 2:35 p.m. and arrive in JAX at 6:35 p.m.
"We are excited to add Phoenix to our growing list of nonstop destinations from Jacksonville," said Mark VanLoh, Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) CEO. "This new service will provide our passengers with a convenient and affordable option for travel to one of the most popular tourist and business destinations in the Southwest."
Phoenix is the capital of Arizona and the fifth-largest city in the United States. It is a major center for tourism, business, and culture, with a vibrant arts and entertainment scene and a diverse range of outdoor activities.
